LEONARD D. MESSINGER received his B.A. cum laude in 1974 from Temple University at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his J.D. degree in 1978 from Southwestern University, where he was a member of the Southwestern University Law Review. Mr. Messinger's professional practice includes patent litigation, and office practice and litigation in the areas of trademarks, trade names, trade dress, copyrights, trade secrets, unfair competition, Internet matters and related business matters, including licensing and contract negociation. Mr. Messinger has prosecuted numerous trademark applications in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and represented clients in trademark proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He has had extensive experience in prosecuting trademarks in foreign countries.

Mr. Messinger is admitted to practice in California, the 9th Circuit and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, the federal district courts for the Central, Northern and Southern Districts of California, and the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Intellectual Property Section of the California State Bar.
