Former State Bar IP Chair Katherine McDaniel Joins Fulwider Patton LLP
LOS ANGELES (April 2007) -- Katherine McDaniel, former Chair of the California State Bar Intellectual Property section, has joined IP boutique Fulwider Patton LLP in Los Angeles.
Katherine McDaniel has long specialized in IP and was the first Director of Intellectual Property for The Times Mirror Company. She had been a partner at Alschuler, Grossman and Pines before joining Times Mirror, former parent company of the Los Angeles Times. When the company was sold to Tribune Company in 2000, Ms. McDaniel returned to private practice, joining Katten's Entertainment Department. She subsequently moved to Bryan Cave in Santa Monica.
A 25-year intellectual property veteran, she has worked with clients in such diverse fields as high tech, publishing, entertainment, international trade, the garment industry, manufacturing, and advertising.
Ms. McDaniel has long been active in several professional associations including the International Trademark Association and Los Angeles Copyright Society, and she served as Chair of the State Bar IP Section in 2001-2002. She graduated from UCLA with a JD/MBA in 1980, and is a 1974 graduate of Occidental College.
